The Scottish Borders is a large, mainly rural area of outstanding natural beauty.It is a region steeped in history and tradition, which combine to give the area a unique cultural heritage.
The more well known and established Scottish Destinations like Edinburgh and the Highlands have always attracted more tourists, but an increasing number of visitors are discovering the Borders as one of Scotland's hidden treasures. There is growing interest in the landscape, the people and their culture, and it is hoped that this specific event will continue to attract visitors from far and near.
