Background to the Event

This event has been running for the past six years in the Scottish Borders over the Hogmanay period.
The initiative began as a collaboration between the Scottish Borders Tourist Board SBTB and local musicians, to develop a programme of concerts and informal sessions that would attract visitors from home and abroad to the region.

Thanks to the hard work of original organizers Ros Halley and Malcolm McEwan over the years, the event has become very successful and is now a significant festival in the Borders musical calendar.
